Shark attack day! That’s when the drill sergeants yell and scream and act crazy and stuff. All to “shock and awe” the brand new soldier. It’s a funny thing to watch but i can only imagine how scared each of those soldiers must be. I took pics, when this cycle is over, I will offer this group all the pics we take throughout. For many of them, the basic training experience is one they will never forget. And it has been said that a soldier never forgets his drill sergeant throughout the years.
On a personal thought, I am so happy the end of this tour is coming to an end. It has been a stressful two years here. Stressful, but because of that, we’re stronger and wiser and closer. I am ever grateful for this tour though. Because of this tour, I had the joy of not having to worry about my husband in harm’s way. For that, I am grateful. Our next duty station will take us somewhere that I am 99% sure is scheduled to deploy. Another hurdle to overcome. So leaving here is bittersweet.
Anyway, I got to watch the “shark attack”. Good stuff. One of Jun’s DS friends is just too funny. Humble guy, but he’s funny as hell with the soldiers.
Wrote this yesterday, Friday, 11JUNE, so technically I haven’t missed a day yet. LOL
