Recipe for Love

Got this from someone’s Multiply page. I thought this was cute….and true!

Ingredients:
Recipe For A Happy Marriage
1. I cup of consideration
1 cup of courtesy
2 cups of flattery carefully concealed
2 cups of milk of human kindness
1 gallon of faith in God and each other
2 cups of praise
1 small pinch of in-laws
1 reasonable budget
A generous dash of cooperation
3 teaspoons of “I’m Sorry”
1 cup of contentment
1 cup of encouragement
2 children – at least
1 large or several small hobbies
1 cup of blindness to other’s faults

Directions:
Flavor with frequent portions of recreation and a dash of happy memories.
Stir well and remove any specks of jealousy, temper or criticism. Sweeten
well with generous portions of love and keep warm with a steady flame of
devotion. Never serve with a cold shoulder or hot tongue…

For my husband:
My love, if I don’t tell you enough or show you enough how much you mean to me, I am sorry. You know I have a way with words and that is, most of the time, my biggest asset and sometimes it hurts me more than it helps. Through all we have been through….everything we’ve brought on ourselves, through all the drama from little girls to our own drama that we cause each other….I still stand by you and you still stand by me. Every time one of us is just about ready to give up, the other holds the weight and burden til we both get our head and hearts in sync again. My love for you is everlasting and constant. I hope through this hard time we are going through and through your two classes you are going through, that you find something out about yourself that maybe you never knew or never saw. I hope that this hard time was not and will not be in vain. I hope that you know that even through this hard time that you see that I , your one and only wife and love, am standing here beside you so we can help each other through. You have my heart, my mind, my dreams, my thoughts, my soul, my faith, and my love……all UNCONDITIONALLY!!!! There is no other person in the world that I would so willingly give my heart and mind to.

So, for all you’ve done and for all you have given me…..this is just the start of your Father’s Day 2005 my baby. We have a young man who’s 11 years old next week and a baby who is only turning 2 in a couple of months…..through all of it….you have been the best father ever despite what ignorant people think of your capabilities as a father. Your kids look through me and straight into you when we are both home. You are their role model, their hero, their everything. I don’t even know if you see it. Our kids’ lives would not be half of what it is nor would they be half as happy as they are if they didn’t have such a special and loving Daddy as you….No one beats you baby. Our four children are the most blessed children in the world. They have the best Daddy and they ALWAYS have his undivided attention and love. That’s what makes you the best. No one else has the power to take your heart away from our angels. Only our babies have that power and honor. I love you my husband! I love you more than you know. And I hope I don’t have to tell you how much your kids love you. They don’t even have to try. Their love for you radiates when you walk into that door. And I have never seen your face more content or more happier than when you walk into our home to their open arms. Hu Guaiya Hao Asaguahu!

P.S. And just because our four children come before any other person…child included….does NOT make you any less of a great Daddy. If you had been given the chance without having to compromise your family, I know you would have given the same love and heart as you do your kids. God will do his part to let that little boy know what really happened. We’ve done our part and I am proud of you and the decision you made.

Quotations!

Thought I’d post some of the quotes I like and think that a few people need to apply to their lives (including myself sometimes LOL). If I have the person who wrote it, I have added it.
